His real name is Marshall Bruce Matters III. He was born on the 17th of October 1972 in Detroit, Michigan. Today he is more famous under the scene nickname of Slim Shady and Eminem. He owns “Grammy” and “Oscar” awards. Nowadays over 70 millions of copies of his albums are sold. This lets us consider Eminem as one of the most saleable musicians from the beginning of 2000.
The rapid career of Eminem began when famous rapper and producer Dr. Dre, the owner of sound recording company Aftermath Entertainment got interested in him and signed a contract with Eminem.
Marshall received the award from Nobel laureate Seamus Heaney for his verbal energy and for the interest of people in his creative work.
The reputation of Eminem as a performer is quite unequivocal and his lyrics becomes the subject of multiple arguments. Notwithstanding the dizzy success of his album “The Marshall Mathers LP and four Grammy nominations, many critics continue accusing his poetry in misogyny and homophobia, promotion of violence, etc.
In 2002 Eminem was shot in the film called “8 mile” that was practically the display of his autobiography.
The song «Just Don’t Give A Fuck» became the most famous hit in the underground. Namely this single played the main role in the career of Marshall. After the release of this single Eminem received the invitation to participate in the recording the singles of Detroit rock band “Kid Rock” (”Devil Without A Cause”) and rapper MC Shabaam Sahddeq(”Five Star Generals”).
In 1999 he released the album “The Slim Shady LP” that took the second place in the sales ratings of Billboard Chart. The most popular singles from this album were “My Name is” and “Guilty Conscience”, which were later used in clips for MTV channels.
